I’ve always wanted to make my own makeup, so I put together a collection of manual eyeshadow fashions. They’re for both powdered and cream, There’s indeed a shimmer interpretation for when you feel fancy. Homemade Eyeshadow Recipes
All of the ingredients can be found in most grocery stores and pharmacies. and many are things you probably already have around the house!
So if you want to try your hand at crafting eyeshadow, read on to learn how to make eyeshadow at home easily.
How to Make Eyeshadow
Before we jump into these awesome homemade eyeshadow recipes. it’s important to know how to make eye shadow at home. To make eye shadow at home you will need a few things.
An empty container for your new makeup, such as an old or unused eyeshadow container. Make sure it has a top so you can keep your shadows from spilling everywhere! You’ll also want some sort of mixing device.
I use a small coffee grinder that I reserve just for crafting and food prep. But you could also use a mortar and pestle or even an electric mixer if you don’t mind cleaning up afterward.
Finally, all of these recipes require some type of pigment to turn powder into color. This is what gives our homemade eyeshadow. It’s vibrancy and allows us to customize our shades however we like!
You can find pigments in any craft store. or an online tailer that sells cake decorating supplies. — just look for powdered pigments rather than liquid. ones (liquid pigments are not meant for cosmetic use).
How to Make Cream Eyeshadow
To make cream eyeshadow, you’ll need white eyeliner. a blending brush and your favorite eye shadows. Just use drops of each on a mixing palette or in a bowl until you get an even consistency that’s easy to apply.
If you want colored cream shadow. try using liquid eyeliner instead of eye shadow. or tinting it with food coloring paste or liquid until it reaches your desired shade.
How to Make Powdered Eyeshadow: To make powdered eyeshadow. you’ll also need white eyeliner (just less of it) and some loose powder eyeshadow.
Just mix them together to reach your desired color. You can add more or less powder depending on how intense you want it to be. How to Make Shimmery Eyeshadow. To make shimmery eyeshadow, you’ll need gold glitter. Clear lip gloss, and clear mascara (or clear nail polish).
Only mix equal parts of all three ingredients together. they’re combined into a smooth texture. Apply as normal!
DIY Shimmer Eyeshadow Recipe
Don’t be afraid of shimmer eyeshadow. Many people associate it with a nighttime look, but that doesn’t mean you can’t wear it during daylight hours, too.
In fact, you may have seen Jessica Alba sporting shimmer eyeshadow on occasion (if you haven’t, go take a look at some pictures of her: she looks amazing in everything!).
Use an eyeliner brush or small eyeshadow brush to sweep loose glitter onto your lid. and stroke it into place with your fritters. If you want just a hint of shine on your lids.
Tap some translucent powder over your shimmery shadow. and watch how beautiful your eyes become!
